Welcome to Trinity Designs. I have been making gifts for my friends and family for years. I love making something personal and special for them. People kept asking me to make charts for my designs, so I decided to make that leap. Every design has a story. As you look through my blog. check out the story that goes with each chart. By working with traditional motifs, my designs are timeless. Enjoy browsing!

Faith Family Friends

Faith, Family and Friends…that about says it all. If you have all three of these things and in that order…life is good. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer six years ago, the social worker asked me if I had a support system. Faith, family and friends was my three-word answer.

Faith Hope Love

My father had surgery for colon cancer in the winter of 2002. As I am driving that day of surgery over the mountains into the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, a song came on the radio that mentioned these three words. They were perfect for that day. I was comforted with these words.

For God So Loved the World

Driving down Rt. 29 after September 11th for Parent’s Weekend at our daughter’s college in North Carolina, I saw a scripture painted on an old board that was nailed to a telephone pole. John 3:16…how perfect! Many died that day, but will never perish from our thoughts and prayers.
What more can I say…

Mercy Peace and Love

I come from apple country in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.  I started this sampler on a Stitching Retreat the summer of 2001.  I just sat down and started stitching on the basket and made it up as I went a long.  What scripture could I use to go with my little basket of apples?  I thought of "harvest", but it didn't grab me.

My Heart Will Always Be There

I wanted to do something special for my sister ,Helen, on this Valentine’s Day. I’ve seen a lot of “sister” charts, but I wanted mine to be a little different.

Fret Not

My friend, Pam, and I walk a lot. You can cover a lot of subjects in an hour. We have tried to solve a lot of the world’s problems and our own “little” problems during this time together. Pam came across this writing during one of her devotional readings.

Peace I Leave with You

I have made this sampler so many times and it looks good in any colors or any threads. This is a simple little sampler that works up quickly. I’ve done it on 28 ct. and 32 ct. Just depends on what size you want your ornament to be. I’ve made it with Christmas colors and different shades of blue and it looks great either way. Have fun with it!

Don't Forget to Say Your Prayers

This is a little ornament that I make for new babies. It’s something they can have in their room hanging on a doorknob, chest of drawer’s knob or by their bed. I designed it so that they could grow up with it and never outgrow it

Aunt Anne

This ornament was stitched for my Aunt Anne for her birthday. Each motif has a special meaning. The heart obviously represents love. The four birds represent her four children, Karen, Bill, Amy and David. The lower left bird also represents her beloved pet cockatiel.

What Does the Lord Require

The Rev. Dr. John Lown was our interim minister at Leesburg Presbyterian Church for about four years. When I had breast cancer in 1999, he came by one afternoon and we just talked. He was a very good listener that day
